Stewardship Matters Fall 2018

September 30th marks the last Sunday of the 3rd quarter of 2018. Typically, the fourth quarter of our fiscal year is our strongest. Again, this year, we need it to be.

Some people catch up on their stewardship commitments in September and October after the vacation season!

For your convenience, our Board Treasurer Matthew Clarke has provided you with your year-to-date giving update. As Christians we understand that it is a privilege to live generously (2 Corinthians 9:7), and that our worship (Tithe, Offering and Alms) is a thoughtful outworking of the grace of God in our lives (1 Corinthians 16:2). Please review your giving update.
· You might notice that you are on track with your stewardship commitment to Calvary.
· You might notice that it is time to catch up.

This year we need $25,000.00

$25,000 will catch us up and allow us to action the ministry vision God is calling Calvary to perform.

Once again, I want to thank you for your generosity towards the ministry at Calvary. We cannot do what God is calling us to do without both your faithfulness in tithes (regular giving), offerings (sacrificial giving), and alms (compassionate giving).

As I have stated before, the CPT family is a beautiful reflection of God’s kingdom. Calvary is made up of every strata of Canadian life: rich, poor, middle class, pensioners and students. Equal giving is impossible because we do not all have the same financial means. What is possible and pleasing to God is equal sacrifice. This is the scriptural brilliance of proportionate giving. We can all do our part! That is what being a family is all about.

Yours for growth,
Pastor Dave Long
